Blackened Bird

Gracefully frail; the raven\'s frame
Upon the moonlit branches
He took his flight and with him carried
The burden of captured souls
The black of night where death does creep
Along the towering shadows
There was a cry in the empty darkness
Filled with sorrow and romance
Day through day
Night through night
Such somber beauty it does withold
Before the darkened day and through the Enlightened night
The tragedies unfold
This burdened bird\'s laugh and cry
Is music to my ears
Now his pain is understood and no longer
Feared
